For Christmas this year Andy gave me a DIY Book Nook.

It was fun to put together. I haven’t done anything like a model in ages, and it was fun trying to puzzle out the Chinese directions.

It also took a few days to figure out what the round thing at the top is. It doesn’t light up, and it doesn’t act as a button. It wasn’t until a late-night kitchen run that someone (I forget who the discoverer was) figured out it’s a motion censor for the light!

I love having a bit of Venice and a bit of China on my shelf. Thanks again, mom frere!
