I’ve been thinking it over, and there’s just not a way to say what I’m doing without sounding like a snob.

I’m off to New York for the weekend to see the Met’s new production of Tristan und Isolde.

I’ve really been looking forward to this though.  Yes, the opera will be stunning I’m sure, but I also get to dress up, play, and catch up with cher Jason.  Hurrah! 

Besides, I haven’t been to New York this season yet.  Winter, spring, and summer, yes, but not this fall.

Yup, I’m spoiled and a snob. C’est ma vie!
